Blog 9

As a teacher the web is a great tool for us to have and incorporate in our classroom. One web based tool teachers can use are search engines like Google. When you even "google" web teaching devices it gives you pages and pages of resources and information. The Internet if full of stuff and teachers can use that stuff if they choose to, to enhance the classroom.

Using Google, a teacher can use the different results that pop up. Each source that pops up can be used for different things and each one can help teachers of every subject area with that subject. Some results came up with math tools and others physics. One site even had a shape maker which can show kids the different shapes in 2-D and 3-D.

The next technology tool I would like to learn is how to make a web page. Also I would like to know more about ways to make presentations, charts, graphs and things so I can use them in my classroom. It would also be cool to incorporate the charts and things in the web pages. The
Internet is such a popular thing now a days its inevitable to avoid it in the classroom.

I think the only way to achieve my technology goals is to keep practicing and keeping up with the latest technology. Every few years I would like to probably meet up or go to a conference or something that would introduce me to the latest technological advances. I think that through just being in the classroom I will pick up different things and learn from then. Not to mention the students will probably keep me up to date.
